Personal Comments
:
let's see here... i was born in new york city to italian/croatian parents. since then i've lived all over the world including: new york, virginia, maine, italy, pakistan, malawi and all kinds of crazy places for small amounts of time. went to college to be a pilot, but changed my mind halfway through. still love planes and flying, just not as a career. currently i work for exxonmobil (aka "the empire" ) as an oil baron, er, i mean paralegal and moonlight as a ninja assassin, er, i mean gamer

IN PROFILE: INTERVIEW CONDUCTED IN MARCH 2003
General Questions:
Can you start by introducing yourself?
Marc, age 23

What's the story behind the alias(es)? - Why did you pick the Hussar one you did?

Nub is a shortened form of nubblenuts, which got shortened because everyone thought i was gay. 'not that there's anything wrong with that'
Nubblenuts came from my first e-mail account... my friend set it up for me whilst in college, since i had no clue how to use a comp-u-tron at the time.
Anywho, said friend was fond of screaming NUUUUUBBLE!!! and NUBBLENUTS! for unknown and 'secret' reasons. still don't know to this day wot the hell he was talking about. yeah, so he made nubblenuts@hotmail.com for me without my input on a name. that's pretty much that, used it for all my other online names since then. 'til people thought i was gay, that is.
As for the Hussars one, doctors using leeches amuses me. don't ask me why.

When did you first start playing multi-player games and what were they?
not too long ago, maybe 2 years. Ghost recon it was. Then straight to battlefield! woot!

Do you have a family and if so what do they think of you playing online games?
my family is probably happy i'm out of the way and not causing a ruckus. They generally leave me alone to my own devices.

What other hobbies do you have outside gaming?
Art, music, that type o stuff. Big war plane buff, too. Planes in general. used to fly myself, can't afford to now though. i'll definitely have my own plane in a few decades. model planes are good, too.

What do you like about where you live?

Ii guess growing up in the area conditioned me to like it, so like it I shall! not that i'll live here all my life, but for now i'm content. close enough to the big city to party, far away enough that i get some peace

What is (are) your favourite colours? If you play IL-2 would you use them as your skin colour?
Blue. nuff said.

What do you do for a living?
I do paralegal work for Exxonmobil yet they pay me lackey wages. >:(

Battlefield 1942 Questions:
How did you first start playing BF?
A friend sent me a link to a article about the game about 10 months before it came out. that's all it took! The fact that you could get in all the vehicles was all I needed.

What do you consider the best things about BF?
The ability to use so many different strategies.

Conversely, which things do you hate?
w*nkers.

What are your favourite maps?
I like the desert maps. I like the island maps. I like the city maps... well damn, that's pretty much all of em. As long as I'm playing with some people who know what they are doing, I'm happy on any map!

Least favourite maps?
Any map with idjuit players. That new RtR map with the bottleneck kinda irks me, too.

What enhancements would you like to see?
Hmmm... I'm not sure how this would work, but I'd love to see some kind of forced formation function. like if you were flying in a flight group, you could hold down a button that would hold your position relative to the plane next nearest you. that would be really neat. with tanks, too. Never happen, though. Eh, I like it the way it is. More of everything, please!

The Hussars Questions:
How did you find the Hussars or how did they find you?

Blackadder and Baldric extended me a warm invitation way back when (maybe a month ago).

How does playing with the Hussars compare to other games/matches?
I will generally not play online unless at least one hussar is on. Most everyone else is a git, I need some touch with common sense to play. Truthfully, 1st Hussars is the ONLY clan I would ever have accepted an invite to join, ever.

What changes (if any) would you like the Hussars as a clan to consider?
Now that I'm in, lock the doors! I kid, I kid... everything seems in order to me.

Computer Questions:
What other PC talents (if any) do you have?
I enjoy creating 'things' with various graphic art programs. Not real 'things'. just crazy 'things'. i would make real things... if I could ever find corel designer 9, or some similiar blueprint type software. I can draw me some damn good robots!

What sort of system do you have at the moment?
1.8 ghz something or other, one of the best nvidia graphics card as of about 10 months ago, some turtle beach sound card, bunch o ram, bunch o hard drive. Yeah, you can tell where this is going... I don't know sh*t! but I can draw robots.

What would your dream system be?
This is fine as is! this is up from a family shared p133, and before that an apple IIc. I am VERY content.

Any PC games you are really looking forwards to?

-The sequel to that il-2 so i can finally get in on the action. gonna get me a new joystick, too, so watch out!
-The 1.0 release of desert combat will be very nice. I'm hoping at that point we will get to play on a server that isn't all non-tactical 12 year olds.
-That vietcong game. I gotta get that.

Thanks for your time, Marc
