The Story behind HEF
The 1st Hussars pride themselves on being a regiment not interested in leagues, ladders of ceompetitive games. The idea behind the Hussars is to have fun and nothing more. However, some elements within the Hussars were keen to take part in a friendly league being organised by the XDC clan.
Therefore it was decided to enter a team made up from Hussars but with a variation of the normal clan tag to differentiate them from the 1st Hussars as a whole. Suggestions ranged from Fooked On Duck [FOD] and Duck Raiders, but luckily the slightly more elegant Hussars Expeditionary Force [HEF] won the majority of the votes.
Match 1: [HEF] versus [AG]
Map: Berlin
, 15th Feb 04
First Round (Allied): We rushed down the lane to break out of the potential trap and attack their base. This worked very well and we overwhelmed them in six minutes!
Second Round (Axis): We stopped their initial charge and narrowly repulsed several attacks on our base before they eventually pushed us back, winning by only 3 tickets.

Match 2: [HEF] versus =XDC= (Team 2)
Map: Operation Market Garden
, 22nd Feb 04
First Round (Axis): We launched an initial assault across the bridges, failing to take the church but capturing the square. Fierce fighting ensued around the town, church and bridges and we eventually scraped a victory.
Second Round (Allies): Thanks to some superb bombing from Seedubs and stout resistance across both bridges, the Axis never made any inroads and we comfortably defeated them.

Match 3: [HEF] versus =XDC= (Team 1)
Map: El Alamein,
29th Feb 04
First Round (Allied): Their Bf109s hit us as we left our base and the XDC lads captured all of the flags. We fought back but they dominated the map and ultimately won.
Second Round (Axis): This time we were the first to grab the flags, retaining them and holding off XDC's assaults. We ran out of time before they ran out of tickets but we had the advantage for most of the round.

Match 4: [HEF] versus -|FVM|-
Map: Wake
, 7th March 04
First Round (Axis): Detail to follow.
Second Round (Allied): Detail to follow.

Match 5: [HEF] versus Desert Rats
Map: Kursk
, 14th March 04
First Round (Axis): They over-ran us completely. Any plan we had dissolved and we spent the round struggling to keep any flags..
Second Round (Allied): This was a very close run round and we managed to hold onto the flags for a significant part of it. We barely lost this one by one ticket. Good game.

Match 6: [HEF] versus Title Chasers
Map: Kursk
, 28th March 04
First Round (Axis): Detail to follow.
Second Round (Allied): Detail to follow.
